Improving diagnosis of von Willebrand disease

Interesting initiative from this study to establish, implement and validate normal and pathological reference intervals for multimer analysis.

Publié: 4/30/2021 | Modifié: 8/6/2026

Phenotypic von Willebrand disease classification requires multiple tests including analysis of multimeric distributions on von Willebrand factor.

To distinguish individual type 2A subtypes from 2M and 2B, the authors define normal and pathological reference intervals for multimer analysis.

This study recommends the use of HYDRAGEL von Willebrand Multimer Analysis for all clinical purposes for its rapid and accurate diagnostic ability and reduce error bias.
