Cardiac Muscle (Primate) & Cardiac Muscle (Rat) Indirect Immunofluorescence Assays (IFA) using primate cardiac muscle tissue substrate are in vitro diagnostic tests intended for the qualitative detection of autoantibodies directed against cardiac muscle components in human serum or plasma.

The presence of cardiac autoantibodies may support the diagnosis of autoimmune myocarditis and other autoimmune cardiac disorders. Test results must be interpreted in conjunction with the patient’s clinical findings and other laboratory tests.
