The Alegria Monotest strip contains a complete set of reagents for determination of single patient results. The strips are individually barcoded. The unique and innovative combination of barcode information and integrated cut-off control, called SMC Technology (Sensotronic Memorized Calibration). This technology combines maximum traceability and quality control with the best possible user experience.
About SMC Technology
The Alegria 2 can be loaded with up to 80 different Monotest strips. Each strip is labeled with a barcode containing information about the product name, a lot-specific- and complete standard curve, limit values for the internal cut-off and the expiration date. All this information is processed automatically by means of the SMC Technology.
Each Monotest strip contains a complete set of reagents, such as sample buffer, conjugate- and substrate solution as well as an internal cut-off control. The pipetting-, washing-, incubation- and reading process is totally standardized. As also the incubation process is temperature controlled, external influences and contamination are excluded. This is the principle of the SMC Technology.
