Comparison of two analytical methods for HbA1c determination

This study supports consistent and reliable HbA1c results when transitioning between analytical platforms.

A method comparison study involving 103 patient samples demonstrated excellent agreement between Sebia's CAPILLARYS 3 OCTA® and the ADAMS™ HA-8180T HPLC system for HbA1c measurement. With a correlation coefficient of 0.991 and minimal bias, the findings support the reliable use of CAPILLARYS 3 OCTA® for routine HbA1c testing and highlight its ability to ensure consistent patient monitoring when laboratories transition between analytical methods.
